Eat & Greet Food Festival
The objective of the project was to create a poster for a public event. I chose to create a poster for a Chinese food festival that would take place in the city of Monterey Park. Monterey Park is known for their growing Asian population and it is the “go-to” spot when people are craving delicious Asian foods. The goal was to have the poster display a clear message of what the event and theme is.

My Approach
Illustrating Chinese food.
The name of the event is the Eat & Greet Food Festival, and the motive was to illustrate an idea that symbolizes Chinese culture and food. The color palette used in the poster is the color of good luck and fortune, the color palette is also one that symbolizes the feeling of being hungry. Dumplings are illustrated since it is one of the most well-known Chinese dishes, and the text is added inside the illustration so it can stand out and display what the event will have.
